Level 5 - Monthly waste reports to your clients
In addition to the live inventory and overview of feedstock, many brands are interested in tracking the total volume of production waste from their tier 1 suppliers, and how the waste is getting disposed of. For this purpose, we have developed an additional tool for monthly reporting of waste.
Questions asked in the monthly report include:
- Key categories of your waste (see level 2 for an overview). If waste is not segregated, reporting of mixed waste in bulk can be done.
- Total volumes of waste. If some waste is not measured in kilograms, conversion to kg will be required to enable better data analysis.
- How has each category of waste been disposed of? The list of 3rd party waste handlers and traders can be managed under the Profile where we also ask about what are the services offered by that 3rd party (e.g. collection and sorting of waste). Do not include services offered by their clients (e.g. recycling to yarns) unless you have documented evidence that your waste has been further passed over to them (e.g. from collector to recycler).
- Split (% share) of materials used in production last month by your key buyers which we can use to roughly calculate the share of their waste in case you are not reporting waste segregation buyer by buyer in the daily inventory.
