Inventory (waste handler)
Once the facility profile is complete and users have been invited to the facility manager role, you can begin receiving and sending shipments, building a list of waste categories, and using the inventory system regularly.
As a waste handler, you have two ways to populate your inventory: by receiving shipments through the system or by adding your own sourced materials. Below is a detailed guide on how to add your own materials.
It is up to each facility how often the inventory is updated (once a day, once a week or once a month).
If you're logged into the system as an Organisation Manager, you can view the list of facilities and access each facility’s inventory individually from the FACILITY tab by selecting the facility dropdown in the top left corner.
- Start by clicking + NEW CATEGORY on the top right.
- This will open up a modal to enter the details.
If a category has been created, it becomes visible in the inventory.
Categories can be created for both textile and non-textile waste. The waste list follows the same breakdown as the HIGG Index while offering an expanded range of options.
If there is something not available in the dropdowns, please notify us at support@reverseresources.net or via the chatbot in the system so that we can modify the list of options according to your needs.
Once the necessary category is added, you can begin adding waste volumes to your inventory. To do this, click the + button in the ADD / REMOVE STOCK column.
Please note that volumes can only be added to categories for your own sourced materials. Materials received from manufacturers are kept separately to maintain traceability.
- Clicking the + sign opens a new modal where you can enter the waste amount in kilograms.
- For improved data accuracy and waste tracing, we encourage you to provide information about the source of the stock and, if possible, the brand information.
- Clicking on a category will open a history of adjustments, shipments, reserved volumes, and draft volumes. The 'draft' status indicates that this waste has been included in a shipment that has not yet been sent out.
- When removing volumes from a category, click the - sign. The modal that opens will allow you to select a lot from which the volumes are being removed. It will display each shipment separately. This structure is designed to enhance data quality and traceability.
Enter the amount necessary and select the reason for removing stock.
If you'd like to remove stock from multiple lots, please make adjustments for each lot separately.
When Add to a Shipment to 3rd Party is selected, you must add a recipient. This refers to the partners in your profile who have not yet joined our platform. After adding them to your PROFILE in the PARTNERS tab, you’ll be able to easily select them from a dropdown menu when removing inventory.
If waste is sent to someone already using the platform, please create a shipment from the SHIPMENTS tab.
